Community Forests
Community Forests are created for everyone in the community to enjoy
with the lasting reminder of special occasions such as birthdays,
anniversaries or weddings as well as living memorials to family and friends
of the deceased.
An $80.00 donation to the
Authority covers the cost of purchasing, planting, and maintaining the tree.
With donations of less than $80.00 additional
trees are purchased for the Community Forest.
Donations may be made throughout the year.
All memorial trees are planted in the spring.
A map will be sent to both the donor (and the
person being honoured or family if requested) illustrating the location of
the tree.
Commemorative gifts and land donations are
always graciously received.
An official tax receipt will be issued for
minimum donations of $20.00.
