WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT

For Immediate Release

Issued on March 6, 2025 at 7:45 a.m.

The Flood Warning, Watershed Conditions Statement issued on March 4, 2025 has been withdrawn and is downgraded to a Normal, Watershed Condition Statement.

This is a NORMAL WATERSHED CONDITION STATEMENT that conditions have improved flooding in low-lying areas of the watershed has subsided

The Catfish Creek Conservation Authority has issued an All CLEAR STATEMENT within its watershed.

This is an All Clear Statement that the threat of flooding has now passed as creek levels are trending downward and storm induced rainfall patterns have weakened and passed.  Weather patterns along with water levels are expected to return to normal throughout the watershed and surrounding areas.

The public is encouraged to always exercise caution around all creeks and waterways, and to stay away from hazardous areas during the spring runoff.  Landowners are encouraged to always check dams, culverts, and catch basins and make sure they are free from debris and functioning as intended.

CCCA will continue to monitor watershed conditions and will issue updates and recommendations as necessary.  CCCA always recommends taking all and any necessary precautions around the Catfish Creek and its tributaries.

This Normal, Watershed Conditions Statement has no expiry date and will remain in effect until conditions change and will be adjusted accordingly if warranted.
