Geocaching and Conservation Areas

Geocaching and Conservation Areas

October 6, 2021

Please note we do not allow geocaching on any CCCA-owned properties. This activity promotes people straying from the designated trails.

We ask that all visitors to Conservation Areas respect the rules, stay on trails and do not climb or otherwise bypass fencing, for their own safety and the environmental health of the areas.

Keeping to marked trails at all times is not only for your own safety, but for the safety of the many rare and sensitive plants and small animals that could be easily damaged or hurt if you leave the trails.

We recently learned of a geocache located under the bridge at Archie Coulter Conservation Area. The location is causing detrimental harm to the slopes of the banks of the creek, and is causing further erosion to the area.
