Springwater Seasonal Camper Update – Change of Season

Springwater Seasonal Camper Update – Change of Season

May 6, 2020

MEMO to Seasonal Campers

UPDATE May 6, 2020:

The provincial government has extended the mandatory closure of non-essential businesses until May 19th, 2020. This means that the Springwater Conservation Area will not be opening for seasonal camping on Friday, May 15th for the Victoria Day Long Weekend. We are anticipating an opening date of June 1st, but if we are given the go ahead to open earlier, we will send out a notice.

To compensate for the time lost, we are extending the operating season to Sunday, October 25th. This will change the season from 22 weeks to 20.5 weeks.

Staff are working with the Board of Directors to approve pro-rated seasonal camping fees accordingly to account for the shortened season.

For those not returning for the 2020 camping season, Winter Storage will be extended at no cost to the camper until the mandatory closure has been lifted.

We understand that many campers would like to check on their sites. Unfortunately, as we are currently in a mandatory closure we are not able to allow any access to the campground during this time.

Any camper wishing to remove their trailer may contact Dusty at [email protected] or through his temporary cell phone at 226-378-9312.

Staff are continuing to monitor the situation, and in consultation with Southwestern Public Health will continue to develop a relevant course of action.

Thank you for your support.
